the italian riviera calls for large hats and sunglasses

i've submitted some of these photos to HYPEED's Summer Essentials: You can leave your hat on! fashion contest.  follow the link to vote for me!  plus there are some great looks submitted by other bloggers. hypeed is my new favorite thing.

last saturday i went to the beach town santa margherita in liguria with my boyfriend and my good friend amber who is visiting from the states. i wanted a cool, easy, summer outfit and opted for a simple tee and shorts. the large hat and sunglasses make beach trips feel glamorous.
this gate was so stunning. i love how old and rusted over it is.  perfect and picturesque.

rossella cararra floppy hat, giorgio armani sunglasses, vintage owl pendant necklace.

  2. I love how you chose to keep it simple with the rest of your look. I think slouchy white tees are summer at its finest!! You look so chic in your hat and sunglasses and the owl pendant is amazing. It's such a cool and unique piece to have. The gate has such a quality of grandeur. I love historical architecture and it's the perfect backdrop for your glamorous look. You look so stunning and the quality of the pictures is incredible! xx

  9. hey guys!! such awesome comments, i heart you all so much!! =)

@gritandglamour - are you on hypeed too?!?! that's so cool. i've just started getting into the site and am having a lot of fun with it. have you added those little hearts to your blog as well? i remember wanting to add your shredded tunic to my inspirations, but i don't think i saw the hearts.

@ladynoix - thank you! i feel that dressing in head to two designer is kind of.... boring. i kind of see it as a lack of imagination. i really like to mix things up. and while i definitely have some designer pieces, they are usually things that i felt like i just couldn't live without. but i'm like that about my entire closet really. even if something is 1 euro, unless i really want it, i probably won't buy it. as a result, i don't really have a lot of clothes. =P
