shopping excursion turned photoshoot!

while visiting tuscany, matt and i went on a shopping excursion to The Mall with some of his family.  this was my first time visiting an italian outlet center, so i wasn't sure what to expect.  i was pleasantly surprised, and the location ended up inspiring a spontaneous photoshoot. it's located outside of florence among gorgeous tuscan countryside as you'll see in some of the pictures. we happened to go on a day when the sky was filled with these brilliant clouds and i was completely overcome with the overall beauty of the area. and the shopping was beyond incredible! basically, you can find high end designer goods at real-world prices. meaning, the alexander mcqueen shoes i bought at the mall were more affordable than the last pair of shoes i bought down the street from my house. so. exciting. even matt had fun shopping here and he's not into shopping. at all. oh! and since i adore food, especially italian cuisine i feel compelled to mention that we had this amazing three course lunch in the restaurant, complete with some fine italian prosecco.  it was a lovely day and not at all what i was expecting when i heard "outlets."  so when you plan yourself an italian shopping sabbatical, i highly recommend you check out The Mall.

  4. I love you and I hate you, you gorgeous, lucky thing! But of course, I really love you more, and am glad you found some killer deals!

One day, I'll be at The Mall. And hopefully not my local one. Shopping, wine, Italy, and a photographer (and man to carry my purchases)? Um, that is perfection, hon.

  6. do you know what you need to do? you need to tell me about the greatest places for shopping in Milan! :) because I plan to go there in november and december, and I need to know, where can I get good shoes and some good clothes. and, preferably, not expensive, because, students don't earn that much :))

  11. I love how you are always prepared for a spontaneous photoshoot! Always carrying a dope camera, looking fabulous and hanging out in beautiful places. I take it none of your photoshoots with catch you wearing a sweatshirt?

I like the one where you are crouched down debating whether or not you should have gotten the shoes in red instead if black.
