last week i had the sincere pleasure of visiting one of tuscany's gorgeous vineyards, Cacciagrande, in the maremma region. we tasted some delicious wines and i was able to ask my million and one questions in my efforts to become more of a wine connoisseur. my favorite was a delicious and flavorful white wine called Viognier, perfect for summer. matt's favorite was Castiglione, a smooth, full body, aged red wine. we walked away with a bottle of each.
for my vineyard outing, i opted for something light, feminine and flirty but with an edge, which seemed appropriate for discussions of wine. i chose a teal romper-style dress in silk that i got from a small boutique in Como, and accessorized with some edgier pieces: my favorite studded purse from extyn, my alexander mcqueen skull charm bracelet, armor ring from crabby and no name sandals.
