in true "gone rogue" fashion, (is that a pun? i think it might be) this outfit was inspired by the various anti-heroes of video game and comic book lore whose personal morality is tainted by the reality of a world gone wrong. style is far more interesting with your own fantasy favorites mixed into the functionality. it's a great way to hone your personal style and avoid looking like everyone else -- something which becomes exceedingly obvious the more into fashion you are. when looking through blogs, style sites and magazines, it's easy to be swayed by the style of others if you don't yet know your own. which is why i wanted to dedicate this first official post back from vogue gone rogue's year long hiatus (huzzah!) to the importance of staying true to yourself. remember, there is a world of difference between "being inspired" and "recreating" something as precisely as possible.
be yourself. the original you is far more interesting than the clone of someone else. reflecting that with your style is one of the best ways to utilize fashion.
