chinatown alley

some photos from last night after my Kung Fu school's 10 year anniversary banquet in Chinatown. matt and i wandered around a bit and came across this little winding alley i'd been to once before with my Sifu and some fellow Kung Fu brethren. apparently, it was once the site of many brawls between Chinatown gangs. so sayeth my Sifu. oh and yeah, for anyone who doesn't follow me on twitter and is therefore not privy to my endless martial arts tweets, I do Wing Tsun Kung Fu and am pretty obsessed with it. like... a lot so.

as for the outfit... strappy no name LBD, spiked loubs and my patent leather Longchamp bag. pretty simple overall as i was not entirely sure what one wears to a Kung Fu banquet so i stuck true to my steadfast philosophy of "wear something nice you feel comfortable in." works every time.

  2. You look gorgeous in that dress! The background is so eery but you photographed it so well!

I have never tried Martial arts but I did take a kickboxing class at the gym once. It was quite fun- so I am sure martial arts would be too. :)

  13. You look so lovely! And it's awesome the way you make even a basic LBD look rebellious. Although that could also be the result of standing in front of a No Standing sign and professing your love for Kung Fu. You're a dangerous cat lady, and I heart you.
